For anyone who has heard me talk about our plans to double the amount of the lease extension workload that our specialist team deals with over the next couple of years, it will hardly be surprised to hear that we have just taken on another new member of the team. Laura Russell, who is an experienced property law paralegal has been working with us for a number of years, has just joined the leasehold extension team and she has also started her new training contract [training contracts being the modern version of the old article clerk process – by which someone who has passed all of their legal exams actually qualifies a solicitor after gaining two years of relevant and hands-on practical legal experience].
Laura joins our the existing members of our highly specialist lease extensions team – Martyn Davies, Sam Davies and Mary Hunt.
I’m really pleased to welcome Laura to the team – her initial task will be to update the computer case management system we have devoted to lease extension work and she will then work closely with me on our two-year leasehold extension marketing plan. All very exciting stuff.
